Today, Wednesday 2nd December, the whole of Cheshire enters Tier 2, meaning that Frodsham's shops, hairdressers, leisure services and hospitality venues selling 'substantial meals' can now reopen.

This means that, subject to a set of hygiene measures and rules on household mixing, the town may begin to look forward to Christmas in a slightly more 'normal' manner!

The majority of pubs and restaurants in and around Frodsham will be reopening their doors today or tomorrow (Thursday 3rd), and will be welcoming customers from the same household or support bubble inside.

Groups of up to six people from different households are welcome to sit outside if possible.

Alcohol can be served alongside a substantial meal, with last orders at 10pm.

As they confirmed their reopening, the Ring O' Bells wrote on their Facebook page: "We would like to thank everyone for the support through the lockdowns, we appreciate it all.

"We are looking forward to seeing everyone and getting into the Christmas spirit."

Meanwhile, Frodsham's Forest Hills Hotel said: "We are so pleased [...] We are looking forward to welcoming back all our valued guests and leisure club members."

Artisan Green will be returning with a new menu, as will Foodat27, who have been busy putting up their Christmas decorations!

Brew + tucker are back with a Turkey special and mince pies and The Vintage Teapot Tearoom will be open from tomorrow (Thursday).

The Railway Inn in Helsby and The Red Bull in Kingsley will not be opening for the time being. But don't worry - The Red Bull will still be offering takeaways and deliveries to the local area!

Celebrating the reopening of their gifts and interiors shop, Me & Mr Jones' Ade and Paul said: "Yay! We've pulled the shop apart, cleaned, moved, re-jigged, pimped, fluffed, spruced and spiced it all up ready to welcome you all back."

Meanwhile, Q Bee Studios 44's Billie Jo told Frodsham Nub News: "I cannot wait to reopen, to be creative again and earn some pennies before Christmas! I'm really looking forward to connecting with people again."

No.5 The Barbers will also be opening today, with no appointments required, and will be closing late on Thursday and Friday to fit in all the post-lockdown trims.

The Elizabeth Arnold Sewing Studio will be returning with a 10 per cent discount offer on everything in the shop, including Christmas fabrics and face masks. This will be for Wednesday only, so make the most of it while you can!

Flowers by Jenny Penny are "super excited" to be reopening, and are now taking Christmas bouquet orders for collection or delivery.

Meanwhile, Henrietta's Attic in Helsby have a new range of Christmas gifts and decorations in stock.

And as community centres are allowed to resume some activities, Frodsham Youth Club will also be back this Friday (4th December), with new members welcome.
