The Frodsham area has been included on a list of potential locations for new Lidl stores.

Last week, the discount supermarket chain highlighted the areas that are "of particular focus this year," in its plans to open 1,000 shops by 2023.

Included in this list was 'Frodsham/Helsby', as well as Ellesmere Port North and South and four locations in Chester.

Lidl is now appealing for landlords with "prominent sites in town, district, edge of centre or out of town locations," to get in contact so that it can set about opening branches in each of these wish-list areas.
