Cllr Ashton, who was voted in unanimously during Monday's Committee meeting, replaces former Cllr Judith Critchley in the role.

She will be joined by Cllr Phil Griffiths, who was elected as Vice Chair.

The Policy, Process & Revenue Committee is responsible for implementing, monitoring and reviewing Town Council policies and regulations, as well as administrating its finances and managing its staff training and welfare.
