For the fourth week running, there were fewer than three new coronavirus cases recorded in Frodsham, Helsby and the surrounding villages in the seven days leading up to May 6.
The rolling infection rate is also 'suppressed' in every one of Frodsham's neighbouring areas, and across much of west Cheshire.
In that week, there were some small pockets of the borough experiencing slightly higher infection rates, but across our whole council area, only 35 new cases were recorded. This equates to two per cent of the 1651 positive test results registered in the last week of 2020.
Cheshire West and Chester's rolling infection rate of 10.2 per 100,000 people still sits below the UK average of 21.3, and in the seven days up to May 2, no new Covid-positive patients were admitted to the Countess of Chester Hospital.
As of May 6, 612,261 vaccine doses had been administered in the Cheshire NHS Clinical Commissioning Group area, which encompasses Cheshire West and East, but not Halton or Warrington.
With over-40s now being encouraged to book their vaccine appointment, figures show that 72.6 per cent of Cheshire 45 to 49-year-olds have already had at least one dose.
