Castle Park Arts Centre will be reopening on Tuesday 13 April with a new exhibition from the Association of Animal Artists.

From this date, the galleries, Courtyard Café and shop units will be open from Tuesday to Saturday as normal, and it is hoped that Castle Park's popular Elevenses performances will be able to start up again.

The Association of Animal Artists Spring Exhibition will be a diverse display of original artworks depicting a wide range of creatures, from the smallest insects through to the largest mammals.

"The AAA prides itself on celebrating all animal life, encouraging members to explore their passion for the natural world via any style or traditional medium," its members said.

"We hope this exhibition inspires all visitors to reconnect with nature, and realise the unique beauty of the animals we share the planet with."

All displayed works will be for sale, with a percentage of proceeds being donated to The Cinnamon Trust, a charity established to support the elderly, terminally ill and their pets.

The exhibition will run until 16 May, leaving plenty of time for you to go and see it!

If you can't wait until April, you can find out more about the AAA on its Facebook and Instagram pages.

While the Arts Centre is closed, images from the current exhibitions are being posted regularly on the Castle Park Facebook page.
