The Frodsham businesses and individuals fighting to combat holiday hunger this half-term

On Friday (23rd October), we reported that Frodsham's Queens Head pub would be providing free breakfasts for any child who would normally receive free school meals.
This followed the rejection of the Labour motion to continue directly funding provision of free school meals over the school holidays until Easter 2021 by 322 votes to 261 Wednesday 21st October.
Over the weekend, many other community-minded local businesses have followed suit, and are offering free food for children who might need it, in a bid to combat holiday hunger.
We put together a list of some of these generous pubs, restaurants and individuals:
4 Seasons 4 Food
Every day until Friday 30th, from 12pm-2pm, any child can choose a free meal from 4 Seasons' children's menu. They do not need to be accompanied by an adult.
The Bears Paw
From 12pm-1:30pm, free packed lunches will be available from the barn at The Bears Paw for any children who'd like to claim them.
Jillys – Breakfast and Lunch Helsby
Jillys would like to let people know that if they are struggling over the next couple of weeks, they can ring Marcus, who might be able to help them out.

Kash 22
On their Facebook page, the Kash 22 team said: "Due to the altruistic spirit in our town, it looks like lunch is already covered...So we'll take care of tea!"
From 4pm-8:30pm, and until Friday 30th October, meals off the Kash 22 Kids Menu will be free for any child accompanied by an adult.
Frodsham Tandoori
In a message on their Facebook page, Frodsham Tandoori wrote: "We believe that no child should ever go hungry, so as part of the community we would like to give back."
The restaurant will therefore be offering free dinners to any child from 5-7 pm this week. If curry isn't to their taste, there will also be some English dishes available.

Patricia Muggivan
Local resident, Patricia Muggivan has prepared 50 meals for any child who might need them, and will even deliver them to their address.
There are still some meals available for today, and Patricia is inviting people to get in touch if they need one.
Vintage Teapot Tearoom, Lady Heyes
The Vintage Teapot will be providing free meals for children under 10 for the whole of this week, adding that these can be requested through a private message if discretion is required.
