The Helsby and Kingsley area currently has the highest infection rate of all of Cheshire West.
With 40 new cases recorded in the week leading up to 26 June, the area has a rolling rate of 430 per 100,000 people.
Meanwhile, in Frodsham, 14 people tested positive in the same week, making for an infection rate of 153 per 100,000 of the population.
Cheshire West's rolling infection rate currently stands at 230 per 100,000 people, an increase of 40 per cent on the previous seven day period. Our borough rate continues to top the national average of 169 per 100,000 people.
In the last seven days, there has been one death within 28 days of a positive Covid test in Cheshire West and Chester, with 14 people admitted to the Countess of Chester Hospital in the seven days up to 27 June.
While our current infection rates may cause concern, new figures show that nearly 90 per cent of all Frodsham and Helsby adults have had at least one dose of their Covid vaccination.
Public Health England has launched a new interactive map which allows you to view the specific vaccination statistics of your local area, and which shows that, as of 30 June, 85 per cent of Frodsham residents have had their first dose, with 68 per cent also receiving their second.
Meanwhile, in Helsby and Kingsley, 88 per cent of people have had one dose, with 70 per cent being fully vaccinated.
Details of local 'pop-up' vaccination clinics, as well as testing facilities, can be found on the Cheshire West and Chester website.
