Frodsham's shops and restaurants are now allowed to resume their in-person operations

Today, Wednesday 2nd December, the whole of Cheshire enters Tier 2, meaning that Frodsham's shops, hairdressers, leisure services and hospitality venues selling 'substantial meals' can now reopen.

This means that, subject to a set of hygiene measures and rules on household mixing, the town may begin to look forward to Christmas in a slightly more 'normal' manner!

Cheshire West is the best recycler in England, Wales and Northern Ireland

Cheshire West and Chester Council has finished top of the Eunomia Research & Recycling Recycling Carbon Index, making it the best recycler in England, Wales and Northern Ireland in terms of avoided carbon emissions.

Last year, for each of the borough's residents, Cheshire West prevented 120kg of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere. That's around 1.2 million kilos (1,200 metric tonnes) avoided by Frodsham residents alone, and over 600,000 kilos for Helsby residents.

With Cheshire West in Tier 2, Frodsham Library may reopen

From tomorrow, Wednesday 2nd December, Cheshire West will be under Tier 2 coronavirus restrictions, meaning that Frodsham Library can reopen for people to browse and borrow!

However, the library will only be operating on reduced hours, opening Monday and Thursday, 2pm - 6pm, and Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 10am - 1pm.
