In the seven days leading up to 23rd December, there were 12 new Covid-19 infections reported in Frodsham, marking a decrease of 25 per cent on the previous week.
Meanwhile, in Helsby and Kingsley, the number of new coronavirus cases rose by 450 per cent, from four to 22.
Now that Cheshire West has entered Tier 3 restrictions, the Council has notified residents that its libraries, including Frodsham and Helsby, will remain closed until further notice.
For now, loans and overdue charges have been extended. From January 7th, an order and collect service will be available from Frodsham Library, but not Helsby. More information can be found on your library account.

Last week, Frodsham Fire Station fire fighters helped deliver festive hampers to local care homes, to spread some festive cheer among residents.
This Christmas delivery operation has been running county-wide, with Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service crews taking gifts to more than 350 of our local care homes.

Although Cheshire will be entering Tier 3 on Boxing Day, 'Christmas bubble' rules will still apply on Christmas Day for local residents.
This means that people from Frodsham and Helsby can meet with up to two other households in each other's homes, in a place of worship or in any outdoor space. Overnight stays are only allowed if absolutely necessary.

Cheshire West and Chester will move into Tier 3 from Saturday, 26th December, after a government review of the borough's high infection rate showed that restrictions were needed to suppress the spread of Covid-19.
Households must not mix indoors or in most outdoor places, with an exception for support bubbles. A maximum of six people can meet in some outdoor public spaces such as parks and public gardens but not private gardens.
