Detectives investigating the importation of illegal drugs have now charged 10 people - including three Helsby residents - following a series of dawn raids across Cheshire, North Wales and Shropshire.
Three men from Helsby were among a group of eight men and women arrested on Thursday 18 February after a series of warrants were executed at 10 addresses in Frodsham, Tarporley, Chester, Saltney and Whitchurch.

Pupils and staff at Horn's Mill Primary School have today completed their Walk for Wellness challenge in aid of the Countess of Chester Hospital Charitable Funds.
Over half term, teachers and children have been using their daily exercise to collectively walk the length of Hadrian's Wall, and have already reached their target!
Roads around Frodsham are set to benefit from their share of £11.9 million in government funding — but Councillors say this figure is 20 per cent lower than last year.
The funding is split into £9,929,000 for highway maintenance and £1,970,000 for transport improvements, with £4,413,000 of the first sum earmarked for pothole repairs.
This weekend, Frodsham Women's Institute launched their Green Hearts Trail as part of the national #ShowTheLove campaign, which lobbies for a 'green' economic recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.
Through their participation in the project, Frodsham WI hope to raise awareness of the challenges of climate change, while encouraging local residents to reduce their impact on the earth.

An extraordinary meeting of Frodsham Town Council has been called on Wednesday 24 February to discuss matters surrounding Council management and protocols.
During the meeting, Councillors will 'review the roles of the Chair, Committee Chairs, Councillors and the Clerk in relation to the management of FTC.'

Ten people have this morning (Thursday 18 February) been arrested in Frodsham, Tarporley, Chester, Saltney and Whitchurch in relation to drug offences.
Detectives investigating the importation of illegal drugs arrested the eight men, aged 25 to 43, and two women, aged 25 and 61, following a series of dawn raids across the area.

This half term, Frodsham CE Primary School are embarking on a mammoth challenge to raise money for charity.
Collectively, the school's pupils and staff will aim to walk approximately 14.5 million steps, the equivalent of travelling from Frodsham to the Philippines on foot.
Howey Lane will be closed for seven days from today (17 February), to allow for emergency gas work to be carried out by Cadent Gas.
Until the road is reopened, it will be access-only. An alternative route for through traffic can be viewed on the Frodsham Town Council website.
