This week, Castle Park Arts Centre opened four new exhibitions of paintings, mixed-media pieces and textiles, one of which is brought to us by textile group, National Progression.
Natural Progression is a 'happy band' of Lancashire-based artists who all share a passion for textiles and who meet regularly to develop their skills, experiment with new ideas and run exhibitions of their work.

Pupils at Kingsley St John's Primary School have this week transformed a once bland wall into a wonderful wildflower meadow mural.
Children from Reception to Year 6 worked with local artist, Billie-Jo English, to decorate the wall, which runs between the school and the Horseshoe Garage, in a project organised in conjunction with Kingsley Parish Council.
It's Friday: Frodsham Hero day!
This week, we wanted to celebrate the work of a group of people, who were nominated for their selfless work in the community throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

With 40 new cases recorded in the week leading up to 26 June, the area has a rolling rate of 430 per 100,000 people.

With events planned across the country, the annual day of thanks provides communities with the opportunity to show their gratitude to all NHS, social care and frontline staff, and to remember those who have lost their lives due to COVID-19.

Cllr Caroline Ashton has been elected as Chair of Frodsham Town Council's Policy, Process & Revenue Committee.
Cllr Ashton, who was voted in unanimously during Monday's Committee meeting, replaces former Cllr Judith Critchley in the role.

The Frodsham area has been included on a list of potential locations for new Lidl stores.
Last week, the discount supermarket chain highlighted the areas that are "of particular focus this year," in its plans to open 1,000 shops by 2023.
