After an absence due to the Covid pandemic last year the annual Frodsham Downhill Run will again take place to coincide with the Frodsham's Festival in the Park on Sunday 29 August.
As usual the run will start at the Memorial on Frodsham Hill at 12.30pm and will finish in front of Castle Park House, a distance of approximately 1.3 miles.
Helsby FC are going from strength to strength.
Not only does the club have a First Team and Reserves but also a "development team" of lads aged 18-19 to bring through the ranks. They are the future of Helsby FC.
Helsby FC have topped Division Three of the West Cheshire League, which means promotion for the Green Army!
After an amazing season full of great football, Helsby beat second-placed Runcorn Sports with 42 points to 40.

Helsby Tennis Club has won the Lawn Tennis Association's North region Tennis Club of the Year, beating clubs in Cumbria, Durham & Cleveland, Isle of Man, Lancashire, Northumberland and Yorkshire to the honour.
"Our focus on excellence, flexibility and inclusivity were highly praised in addition to a great coaching programme, phenomenal growth and amazing development of the new site," Helsby Tennis Club said.

What at an incredible day and performance by Helsby FC at the Colosseum of Confrontation.
The team entertained second-placed and title-chasing Rainford FC - this was going to be a tough and such a defining game to see who won the title.

Helsby FC crash out of the cup in bizarre and controversial style.
Saturday (15 May) saw another wet day and a huge semi-final of the Shield Cup away at League leaders, the undefeated Runcorn Sports.
After Saturday's incredible victory in the quarter-final of the Shield Cup, last night (Tuesday), Helsby FC once again entertained Sutton Athletic in the league at the "Colosseum of Confrontation" - I am determined for this name to stick!
The game started well for Helsby with Greg, Nathan and Jack pulling the Sutton defence all over the place.

On Saturday (8 May), Helsby FC entertained Sutton Athletic FC in the quarter final of the West Cheshire Shield Cup.
The game was epic - it literally had everything.
A double header of football today at the new 'Colosseum of Confrontation'.
Helsby FC Reserves played Christleton FC at the new pitch. The rain was still falling when Christleton scored a great goal after just five minutes.
