Helsby FC First Team were against Heswall FC Reserves at home this Saturday, losing 0-1.

In what was dubbed a "bizarre and controversial game" by Helsby FC's Duncan Cowley, Helsby began well but soon conceded a penalty to Heswall.

Heswall made numerous substitutions early in the first half, which ended with the score still at 0-1.

Helsby made some half chances, but did show the same ruthlessness in front of goal as they had in previous weeks.

The second half began with Helsby on top. However, Heswall's 'roll on roll off' substitutions disrupted Helsby's flow and momentum.

The game ended with the score still at 0-1 to Heswall. A frustrating match for the Green Army and their fans, who felt the numerous substitutions severely impacted their game.
