A CHANGE in Cheshire West's Covid-19 Tier ranking is unlikely when the government reviews each area's ranking, council officials have signalled.
At a meeting of CWAC's outbreak board, deputy chief executive Delyth Curtis said: "We will be looking up to being re-assessed — discussions will be starting with Public Health England.

A motion on trail hunting to be debated at this evening's council meeting has been described as a "cheap political stunt" by a hunting advocate group.
The Labour group at Cheshire West and Chester Council will introduce a motion which could lay the ground for banning trail hunting on council-owned land.

Cheshire Police chiefs have praised the public's, and their officers', approach to following and enforcing Covid-19 laws.
Superintendent Julie Westgate made the comments after a freedom of information request by the LDRS revealed that not a single £10,000 fine had been dished out by the force.
Labour councillors are set to bring a motion which "recognises the threat of Trail Hunting on Council-owned land" with the backing of the Frodsham MP.
Cllr Matt Bryan, Cabinet Member for the Climate Emergency, described Trail Hunting as a "smokescreen" for killing foxes, which has been banned for 15 years.
