Andrew Woolmington was presented with a gift this morning

Frodsham photographer, Andrew Woolmington, was today presented with a Christmas gift in recognition of his service to the local community.

The present, awarded to Andrew by a Cheshire West and Chester Council employee, is an acknowledgement of the six years he has spent photographing different locations around the town, and helping to promote local independent businesses.

Casey and Edward - the Jazzical Duo - attend Chetham's School of Music

The hugely popular Jazzical Duo, Casey Whyte and Edward Harris-Brown, who wowed audiences at Castle Park Arts Centre throughout the summer, now have their beautiful music recorded on their own CD.

Produced by the Arts Centre, Elevenses in the Courtyard contains eight classical and jazz pieces, performed by Casey (13) on the violin, and Edward (14) on the piano.

Frodsham GPs will begin administering the vaccine this week

Covid-19 vaccination services are set to begin in Frodsham this week, as GP practices across the county prepare for the roll-out.

Frodsham joins Macclesfield in the first wave of Cheshire towns to start administering the vaccine. Today (Tuesday), the first GP-led vaccination in Cheshire was received by 84-year-old Geoff Greenhough from Winsford.

The coronavirus rate in our area was below 100 per 100,000 people last week.

In the week leading up to 9th December, there were 7 new Covid-19 cases in Frodsham, two more than in the previous week.

This means that, after that seven day period, Frodsham's coronavirus rate stood at 76.3 per 100,000 residents, well below the average UK rate, which was 181 per 100,000.
