Paediatric patients in Frodsham and Helsby 'will continue to receive consistent' care, according to the NHS Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).

The assertion comes following service-providers Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust telling the CCG 'that it would be serving formal notice on its contract for the provision of community paediatric services' in December, with provision set to end on March 31.

The Helsby Running Club JustGiving page

Helsby Running Club has raised nearly £2,500 for local hospices in place of the Four Villages Half Marathon 2021, which has been cancelled due to Covid-19.

Having set up a JustGiving page, the Club gave £1,000 from their own funds, and asked runners to donate some of this year's saved race fees to Halton Haven Hospice and Hospice of the Good Shepherd.

People suffering from domestic abuse can now seek help in Boots pharmacies through the Assistance Needed Immediately (ANI) scheme.

When someone asks for ANI, a trained pharmacy worker will offer a private space where they can determine if the victim needs to speak to the police or would like help to access support services such as a national or local domestic abuse helplines.
