Cheshire West and Chester Council are encouraging residents to take advantage of the Council litter picking resources available to them following an upsurge in the number of people getting involved with street cleaning operations, both in Frodsham and across the borough.

From this week, groups of six are now able to volunteer together and meet up to carry out socially-distanced litter-picking activities in the borough.

Helsby Hillside Primary School has this month had an article published in The Parliamentary Review.

Yesterday (Monday 29 March) saw the reopening of outdoor sports facilities across the country, including a very excited Helsby Golf Club.

"Despite the lockdowns and restrictions seen in the last twelve months, life at Helsby Golf Club has continued albeit in different ways and we are now looking forward to getting back to golf!" The Club said.

On Thursday 6 May, local elections will be held to appoint new borough and town councillors for Frodsham.

The deadline for registering to vote is 11:59pm on Monday 19 April. This can be done on the GOV.UK website.

Frodsham MP Mike Amesbury was given a sneak peek of new timber cabins at a holiday park about to open in Delamere Forest.

Mike had backed his constituents in opposing the scheme by Forest Holidays, fearing the impact of a commercial development on the forest setting.

Frodsham is one of the Cheshire West libraries open for order and collect services through lockdown, and as such is also subject to changes in its opening hours over Easter.

On Good Friday (2 April) and Easter Sunday and Monday (4 and 5 April), Frodsham Library will be closed.
