Frodsham Festival of Walks Chair, Cllr Caroline Ashton, is inviting residents to join in with the Great Walk Together by planning a local walk for Sunday 20 June.

The Great Walk Together forms part of the Great Get Together 2021, an initiative of the Jo Cox Foundation which aims to bring people together to celebrate new connections and Jo's #MoreInCommon message.

Community sector organisations in Frodsham carrying out projects aimed at reducing health inequalities are being invited to apply for grants from Cheshire NHS bodies.

Cheshire West and East Integrated Care Partnerships are working with Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group to distribute £660,000 of funding, with up to £30,000 available over 18 months to support each project.

Covid-19 case numbers remain low in the Frodsham area for the moment, although infections rates are rising rapidly in other parts of the borough due to the Delta variant.

In the seven days leading up to June 5, there were three new coronavirus cases recorded in both Frodsham and Helsby wards, making for a rolling rate of 32 and 60 per 100,000 respectively.
