Storm Christoph is here in force, and there have been reports of flooding on several of our local roads.

Helsby Police have warned motorists that there is significant flooding on the section of Chester Road where Helsby ends and Frodsham begins.

Meanwhile, the road near the White Lion in Alvanley was completely submerged in water earlier this afternoon, with Primrose Lane also flooded.

More heavy flooding was reported along Kingsley Road and also on the road coming from the M56 junction towards Frodsham.

Finally, Helsby Tesco was forced to close at around 5pm due to flooding inside the store. It has opened as normal this morning (Thursday).

You can see which roads are currently closed on the Cheshire Police website.

We will try to update this article as the situation changes.
