What's On in Frodsham: April 2021

Lockdown is easing, and our Frodsham calendars are filling up! Here are some of the activities and events taking place around the town this month.
Frodsham Youth Club
Frodsham Youth Club will be returning on Wednesday 7 April with free food in the club snack bar from 7pm until 8pm. This will be repeated on Wednesday 14 April.
On Thursday 8 and Friday 9 April, there will be Youth Club sessions taking place at Castle Park. On Thursday 15 and Friday 16 April these meetings will be held at Frodsham Community Centre.
For these Easter holiday dates, Junior sessions will run between 12pm and 2pm, Intermediates from 2:30pm until 4pm and Seniors from 4:15pm to 5:45pm.
After Easter, Youth Club will be taking place on Friday nights as usual. More information here.

Wednesday 7 April at 7:50pm Join the Helter Skelter team for what will hopefully be their final lockdown quiz, ahead of their reopening in May.Frodsham Junior Football Club Academy – Frodsham Community Centre bottom field
Sundays between 11am and 12pm Frodsham JFC's Academy Session is a fun introduction to organised football for boys & girls in Reception and Year One (aged 5 – 7) and is the first step in players' journey through the Club. These sessions are led by FA Qualified and DBS checked coaches. All abilities are welcome and the sessions are all about having fun, making friends and learning the basics of the game. Monday 12 April On this day, Frodsham's non-essential retail, personal care premises, public buildings will reopen. This means that residents can return to Frodsham Library for browsing and computer access. Indoor leisure facilities, such as gyms and swimming pools, will also reopen - but only for use by people on their own or with their household. Hospitality venues will also be able to reopen their outdoor areas only. There will be no need for customers to order a substantial meal with alcohol, and no curfew - although customers must order, eat and drink while seated.'History, Recoloured' by Richard O'Brien – Frodsham and District Photographic Society
Monday 12 April 7:30pm-9:30pm In this free-for-members session, Richard O'Brien will detail his start-to-finish process for restoring old photographs using Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. No prior knowledge of these techniques is required, and a PDF quick reference guide will be made available to attendees at the end of the session. Tuesday 13 April – Sunday 16 MayCastle Park Arts Centre will be reopening on Tuesday 13 April, along with its Courtyard Café and shops.
The Association Of Animal Artists presents a diverse collection of stunning original art created by its members. From the smallest insects through to the largest mammals the AAA prides itself on celebrating all animal life, encouraging members to explore their passion for the natural world via any style or traditional medium.

Cricket Club Practice Nights
Frodsham Cricket Club will be starting their 2021 season with mixed U11 and U13 practice nights starting on Friday 16 April at 6:30pm.
Kingsley Cricket Club junior training will also resume on Friday 9 April, with U9s and U11s from 5:30pm-6:30pm, and U13s and U15s from 6:30pm until 8pm.

Helsby RUFC U9 and U10 training sessions
Thursdays at 7:30pm
Helsby RUFC are running friendly U9 and U10 training sessions for budding rugby players on the new 3G Sports Club pitch.
