Cheshire Police's Rural Crime Team have recently completed Operation Marsh, a week-long crackdown on offences such as fly-tipping on Frodsham and Ince Marshes.
The operation was carried out between 26 and 29 January, in partnership with Cheshire West and Chester Council and Frodsham Police.
Several vehicles suspected of fly-tipping were stopped over the course of the week.
Businesses offering to take away household and garden waste must always have a waste carriers licence, and Police urge residents to check for this to ensure their rubbish is disposed of responsibly.
As well as targeting fly-tipping, police patrols focused on wildlife crimes such as poaching, as well as anti-social behaviour on the Marsh.
"This area is remote and out of the way of roads, but that doesn't mean it's a playground for criminals," Cheshire Police said.
