Search for missing boy in Sutton Weaver enters its second day

Emergency services are continuing their search for a missing boy in Sutton Weaver.

At around 3.50pm on Monday 19 July police received reports that a 16-year-old boy may have fallen into the River Weaver near Frodsham.

Police, fire and ambulance attended the scene and worked into the early hours of the morning to try and locate the teenager.

Emergency services returned to the scene this morning (Tuesday 20 July) and the searches have resumed.

Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 1041072.

Further information will be released when available.
