Cheshire NHS Clinical Commissioning Group, the body responsible for the county's coronavirus vaccine rollout, is urging any local over-80s still waiting for their first dose to contact their GP.
The NHS is planning to vaccinate everyone in the top four priority groups – including older care home residents and staff, everyone aged over 70, all frontline NHS and care staff and all those who are clinically extremely vulnerable - by the middle of February.
With this date fast approaching, it is important that residents aged 80 and over who are yet to receive the vaccination book an appointment as soon as possible.
This comes as part of a new national drive to make sure that the last remaining people in the top four priority groups get the Covid-19 vaccine.
Those aged over 70 who may not have yet booked an appointment are now being asked to contact the national booking service online or by ringing 119.
People who don't fall within the first four priority groups are still being asked to patiently wait for an invite when they are eligible.
If someone has received two invites, one from the national booking service and another from your local GP or hospital, please only book one appointment to make sure space is available for others.
