The Mersey Forest will be running its next Mindfulness in Nature course from Helsby Community Centre, starting on May 17.

Mindfulness in Nature aims to promote full immersion in the natural environment, especially for people with mild to moderate mental health issues who would benefit from the stress, depression and anxiety-relieving mechanisms offered by the course.

These free sessions, which are organised in partnership with the Natural Health Service, will run from 11am until 1pm or 1:30pm until 3:30pm.

Comments about previous courses has included: "It has given me an inner sense of peace and the ability to stop and enjoy things around me. Also, it has helped me with sleep. I quite often stop when I am out and take the opportunity to take in my surroundings."

The course lasts for eight weeks and places are limited. Please contact 07507 013283 to find out more.

You can find out more about walking mindfully on the Mersey Forest website.
