Last Sunday (11 July), hundreds of people came from far and wide to visit the gardens of Manley Knoll, a beautiful house nestled in the countryside around Simmondshill Wood.
Through this National Open Garden Scheme event, visitors were able to explore the house's six acres of beautiful gardens, which flow through a variety of themes and styles, including ornamental ponds, woodland walks and a magical folly garden.
A refreshments stall run in aid of Alvanley and Manley churches then provided an opportunity to sit and enjoy Manley Knoll's sweeping Cheshire Plain views over a cup of tea and a piece of cake.
Although Manley Knoll's open day events are now over for another year, you can keep an eye on the National Open Garden Scheme website for next year's dates!
