Local police teams use speed guns to catch speeding motorists around Helsby

Local police teams have this weekend been operating roadside speed cameras around Helsby, catching several drivers travelling above the speed limit.

On Saturday, a Trucam speed gun on the A56 towards Chester in Dunham-on-the-Hill caught 11 speeding vehicles, one of which was travelling at 53 miles per hour.

Meanwhile, Helsby Police deployed a speed gun in the 30 mph limit on Primrose Lane yesterday (Sunday). It recorded two speeding vehicles, with a highest speed of 41 mph.
