Helsby Police have this week deployed a Trucam speed gun on Chester Road near the Shell garage, looking out for drivers travelling above the 30 mph speed limit.

In one hour, the camera caught 46 speeding vehicles, with one car moving at 45 mph.

Fixed penalty notices will be sent to the motorists concerned.
