Craig Richardson, headteacher of Helsby Hillside Primary School, has been featured on the podcast of leadership advisory body, The Leaders Council.

The Leaders Council of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is currently in the process of talking to leadership figures from across the nation in an attempt to understand this universal trait and what it means in Britain and Northern Ireland today.

It describes itself as: "The podcast for the people who run the country, and the people who keep the country running."

Helsby Hillside's Mr. Richardson was invited onto an episode of the podcast, which also included an interview with Sir Andrew Strauss. In his interview, he discussed how Helsby Hillside have tried to "manage the [Covid-19] crisis."

Host Scott Challinor asked both guests a series of questions about leadership and the role it has played in their careers to date.

Mr. Richardson said: "I was delighted to contribute to the Leaders Council podcast and to provide an education and school leadership perspective alongside a well-known and respected leader like Andrew Strauss."

Scott Challinor commented, "Hosting a show like this, where you speak to genuine leaders who have been there and done it, either on a national stage or within a crucial industry sector, is an absolute honour."
