Frodsham's KiddiCove Nursery collects over 100 advent calendars for charity donation

At the end of October, Frodsham's KiddiCove nursery began appealing to local people and businesses for advent calendar donations, which were to be donated to Chester-based charity, Save the Family.

Following a flood of kind donations from members of the community and businesses, including a huge batch of advent calendars from Woodhouse Plumbing, KiddiCove have easily surpassed their initial target.

In fact, the nursery now have so many donations that they will be giving 50 advent calendars to Soul Kitchen Chester, who help provide food for anybody experiencing loneliness, food poverty or homelessness.

Save the Family, who will be receiving over 100 advent calendars from KiddiCove's campaign, provides residential accommodation for homeless families, and tries to empower them to overcome barriers, increase their independence, grow in confidence, and reach their true potential.

Via their Facebook page, KiddiCove said: "We want to say a huge THANK YOU, we all feel so thankful for all of your donations. We here at KiddiCove feel so happy to have made such a difference to two amazing charities this Christmas."
