Commemorative plaques will soon be appearing in parks and woodlands around Frodsham, to mark their status as Fields in Trust-protected spaces.

Fields in Trust is an independent charity which champions and supports public green spaces by protecting them for future generations.

It works with landowners, community groups and policy makers, offering advice and guidance for those wishing to conserve and enhance local green spaces.

In Frodsham, wooden Fields in Trust plaques will soon be erected at Park Lane and Churchfields play areas, Hob Hey Wood, the Community Centre and the Red Lion Bowling Club.

Most of these areas have been protected since before the Covid-19 pandemic began, along with Overton Memorial Field.
