The community-minded children of Frodsham Weaver Vale Primary School have been working hard to help those who find themselves in need this winter.

Pupils donated a huge 57.35kg of foodstuffs to Runcorn and District Foodbank as part of the school's Harvest Festival.

This gesture was commended by the foodbank, who said that the children and their families had provided a wonderful 163 meals for people in crisis.

In addition to this, a Year 4 pupil is preparing to take part in the Sleep Out to End Youth Homelessness event on 20th November.
