Last night (Wednesday 3 March), Frodsham was one of several towns to appear on Channel 5's The Motorway Cops: Catching Britain's Speeders.

The programme, which is the first in an ongoing series, followed Cheshire Police's Roads and Crime Unit as they patrolled the county's roads.

In one scene, PC Rich Woodward dashed across to Frodsham from Congleton, to investigate reports of a drunken male about to get into and drive his car.

We know we should have been concentrating on PC Woodward's 'stakeout' for the potential offender but we were distracted by some very pretty shots of Frodsham's Main Street!

And just in case you were wondering, in the end, no one was hurt or put in danger by the incident.
