For our Frodsham Heroes this week, we celebrate the work of consultant surgeon Robert Jones, who also lives in Frodsham.

Robert is a consultant hepatobiliary and general surgeon at Liverpool University Hospitals, and Royal College of Surgeons lead for research into bowel cancer that has spread to the liver.

He performs over 180 operations a year and has been continuing his work in the NHS throughout the pandemic.

"Robert is a great colleague, mentor and trainer," his nominator said. "He continues to work tirelessly to improve the lives of patients with bowel cancer from across the country."
