Every year, Frodsham's residents and businesses collect advent calendars to be donated to local foodbanks.

This has been a difficult year for many of the families in our region, and so campaign coordinator, Tom Billington, wants to make its 2020 offering it bigger than ever.

Local people can get involved either by buying an advent calendar and dropping it off at the Cottage Tea Shop, or by donating to Tom's GoFundMe page. He will use the money raised to buy calendars to be distributed across Frodsham, Runcorn and beyond.

"Most of us take for granted being able to buy an advent calendar but for some people, it just isn't an option," Tom said via the GoFundMe page.

"By donating towards the fundraiser, you're giving a child something to look forward to for every morning of December."
