Frodsham and Helsby coronavirus update

In the week leading up to October 25th, 27 Frodsham residents tested positive for coronavirus, bringing the rate up to 290.60 per 100,000 people.
Meanwhile, in the previous week - ending Sunday 18th October - 22 new infections made for a rate of 236.79 per 100,000.
The prevalence of Covid-19 among the population has also grown in the Sandstone ward, where, with 18 cases recorded this week, the rate stands at 366.15 per 100,000, as opposed to 244.10 in the previous seven-day period.
However, both Helsby and Gowy Rural ward, which encompasses Elton, Ince and Little Stanney, have seen a drop in infection rates.
There were 17 new cases in Helsby last week, 10 fewer than the week before, and the rate is currently at 339.75 per 100,000 people.
Meanwhile, in Gowy Rural there were 14 infections this week, meaning that the rate has dropped from 204.94 to 151.01 per 100,000.
Frodsham and Helsby's coronavirus rates are some of the highest in Cheshire West, where several wards, including Weaver & Cuddington, Saughall & Mollington and two locations in Northwich, have dipped below 200 per 100,000.
However, the ward with the highest instance of Covid-19 is Winsford Dene, which has an infection rate of 589.70 per 100,000.
