Three fire engines attended the incident last night

Three fire engines were called out to a basement fire on Hill Road North, Helsby, at 8:45pm last night (Sunday 18th October).

The fire, which involved an electrical cupboard inside the basement of the large detached property, required the attention of crews from Powey Lane, Runcorn and Ellesmere Port.

Four firefighters wore breathing apparatus has they tackled the blaze, which was extinguished with an extended hose reel jet.

Fire crews were in attendance for over three and a half hours.
