Essential Travel Covid-19 timetable: how will this affect trains from Frodsham and Helsby?

24th Jan 2021 | Local News

From tomorrow (Monday January 25), Transport for Wales will be reintroducing its Essential Travel Covid-19 timetable until further notice.

Direct services leaving Helsby and Frodsham for Manchester and Liverpool will now run every two hours at off-peak times, as opposed to every hour.

So, while the morning commute trains to Manchester will continue as normal, after 09:00 there will be a two-hour wait between every Piccadilly service.

Meanwhile, there will still be a direct service between Helsby, Frodsham and Liverpool Lime Street every two hours.

In between these trains, you can still catch services changing at Earlestown or Newton-le-Willows.
