The salons contained within Billie Blake Hair & Beauty are on the lookout for new businesses to join their team.

Opened in December 2019, Billie Blake immediately became a popular destination for haircuts, beauty and nail treatments.

Having owned salons for several years, owner Lisa Campbell chose to name this new venture after her daughters, Billie and Blake, dreaming that they might one day decide to continue the business themselves.

When she first moved into the salon, Lisa invited several other small businesses to set up shop alongside her, forming a group of beauty and massage treatment services called Cheshire House for You.

"We called it Cheshire House for You because the time you spend here is just for you – a day out for you to enjoy," Lisa says.

Little did she and her fellow business owners know that the year that followed would be blighted by lockdown after lockdown, stalling the development of their respective salons before they really had a chance to get going.

Luckily, Lisa is now back and busy once again, tending to the post-lockdown hair of her many grateful customers.

"I've been rushed off my feet since we reopened," she says. "People are running in and skipping out!"

Lisa shares her ground floor space with nail salon, Polished 2 Perfection, which is run by Kelly Lomax. In the near future, she is also planning to complete the space with a small shop of perfumes and other beauty products.

Upstairs, Petra Godwin's Holistic Garden treats customers to relaxing massage therapies, while RLP Aesthetics and Beauty, run by Rachel Phillips, provides cosmetic treatments such as botox, fillers and chemical peels. Finally, we have Ann-Marie Bolland, whose business AMB Lashes offers services such as brow tinting and LED light therapy as well as lash extensions.

On the landing that links their different rooms, the ladies have also put together a display of paintings and posters from local artists and community organisations, showcasing the great imagination and energy of Frodsham residents.

There is still space in the building for two other businesses, and Lisa is looking for something new and exciting that would complement the services already on offer in Cheshire House for You and chime with its theme of self-care and relaxation.

"We want to make this a one-stop-shop for all your beauty needs," she says. "People are always in a rush so it's useful to be able to get your hair, nails, tan, lashes and whatever else done all in one place!"

With all the ingredients for a marathon pamper session contained in the same building, the Cheshire House for You businesses are now planning to offer group packages for birthday parties, family treats and hen dos.

"Over lockdown, people haven't been able to spend quality time with their friends and family," Lisa says. "So we want to give them quality time with their loved ones, while they enjoy a spa day-type experience with afternoon teas and beauty treatments of their choice!"

Seeing as each of the Cheshire House for You businesses are spread out across different rooms and floors, these pamper days would be able to take place in a socially-distanced manner.
