Today (Thursday 8 July) marks 100 days since Frodsham local Andrew Woolmington embarked on a mammoth community service mission in and around the town.
In that time, Andrew has been complementing the work of the Frombles, picking up litter from various locations around the town and making sure that its streets are looking spick and span.
This evening, as he completed his 100 day challenge in Castle Park, Andrew was met with cheers, applause and a litter picker arch salute.
With members of Frodsham's WI, Police, and Town Council, as well as Frodsham & Helsby Litter Angels and Cllrs Lynn Riley and Chris Basey - who organised the event - there to offer their congratulations, the Rotary Club presented Andrew with a special certificate to mark his great achievement.
Rotary Club President, Colin Abott, said: "It's nice to be among like-minded people who give up their time to serve communities off their own backs and without payment.
"So I'm very pleased to be here on this special night for Andrew."
After receiving his award, Andrew said: "I am over the moon with the support that everyone has given me.
"I can't believe I've reached this point but I am very proud to have got to this day!"
And so he should be - well done Andrew!
