A casual vacancy has arisen for a town councillor on Lakes ward.

The position, which was formerly occupied by Mallie Poulton, will be up for election if any ten electors from the ward write to Cheshire West and Chester Council Returning Officer to request a vote.

Such a request must be made within the next 14 days (excluding weekends and bank holidays).

In the event of no election being called, the Town Council will fill the vacancy by co-option.

Cllr Poulton had served as a Town Councillor since 2015, and was last year awarded for his 'great and valuable services to the community' with the High Sheriff's Award.
