A planning application seeking to transform Frodsham's former police station into a 'private boutique studio facility' has been withdrawn.

If planning permission had been granted, the new centre on Ship Street would have offered pilates, movement therapy, fitness and dance classes to both individuals and small groups.

These sessions would have been delivered across two main studios, a fitness area and a private therapy suite.

Although eager to promote the presence of this type of business in the town, Frodsham Town Council had objected to the plans on the grounds that the building is in a conservation area, and does not possess a large enough car park for its proposed purposes.

There is no space for overflow parking, and any cars parked on the street would restrict resident and emergency vehicle access.

Before its withdrawal, the application had been awaiting a decision from Cheshire West and Chester Council.
