A new cradle swing for Churchfields play area, agree Frodsham Town Council

Frodsham Town Council Amenities Committee has agreed to replace a missing cradle swing at Churchfields play area.

The replacement swing will cost the Town Council £332.10, which includes an installation cost of £48.

During its Monday meeting, the Amenities Committee also noted that the remaining Churchfields cradle swing is showing signs of wear, with metal beginning to show through the split rubber.

During a playground inspection March 16, Northwich Town Council reported that while the risk posed by this wear and tear is low, the condition of the swing will continue to be monitored going forward.

Following this inspection, Frodsham Town Councillors Helen Hayes and Caroline Ashton visited each of the town's play areas, determining the repair and maintenance work to be carried out on each site.

According to Cllr Hayes and Ashton's instructions, Northwich Town Council will now replace broken slats on a Churchfields bench, as well as weeding the area beneath the swings.
