A new counselling service is being launched on Frodsham's Church Street by professional counsellors, Lyndsey Charnley and Donna Draper.

Lyndon Counselling Services offer support for bereavement, trauma, PTSD, depression and youth counselling, to name just a few key areas of their work.

Programmes can be tailored to suit clients' needs and Lyndsey and Donna are happy to offer sessions over the phone, via Zoom or – Covid restrictions permitting – through home visits.

They will be able to deliver their services in areas including Helsby, Elton, Chester, Runcorn and Kingsley, as well as welcoming people to their discreet Frodsham practice.

As a business providing services relating to mental health, Lyndon Counselling is allowed to continue offering face-to-face appointments throughout lockdown. Their counselling space has been made Covid-secure and social distancing is maintained at all times.

"We both have a passion for mental health and counselling support," said Lyndsey and Donna, "and are very aware of the lack of access to immediate support for people who are in need."

After studying Integrative Counselling at degree level, "We both qualified over five years ago and have utilised our qualifications in our chosen fields of Education and HR.

"Lyndsey has worked in local primary and secondary schools for over 14 years, supporting families within the Cheshire area through her work as a school counsellor and in family support.

"She also created a successful counselling service in a local high school before taking up a new challenge of family support across Halton while planning to open our practice.

"She has attended many CPD sessions, events, webinars and conferences on matters including eating disorders, bereavement, self-harm and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.

"She has volunteered for Cronton College, NightStop Communities Widnes - helping to run their anger management programme - and The Delamere Centre, supporting patients and their families affected by cancer.

For the past 16 years, Lyndsey has also assisted with fundraising for Child Bereavement UK, while helping to deliver their family support programme.

Meanwhile, "Donna continued on with her studies and completed an additional degree in HR and also a Child Psychology Diploma to enhance her Counselling degree.

"She works daily directly with staff dealing with human resource and working to support staff mental health and reduce stress within the work place.

"She has volunteered for Cronton and Kingsway College in Widnes supporting students' mental health and also at St Anne's, run by Halton Borough Council.

"This is alongside her work as a counsellor at St Helens Health Centre and other private practices over the past eight years.

"We are both mothers to two children and dog lovers! We strive to be the best we can be in all that we set our minds to."

Lyndon Counselling Services Ltd. is fully insured and registered with the BACP. Lyndsey and Donna receive regular supervision to ensure they are always meeting client needs.
