Keen to encourage a safe and successful return to the high street for the borough's residents and businesses, Cheshire West and Chester Council have launched its 'Calmly, Warmly, Carefully' #EatDrinkShopCWC campaign.
On Wednesday 2nd December, shops, hairdressers and beauty salons will reopen in Frodsham and across the borough, and the Council want to welcome customers back with a positive message.
The messaging displayed in local businesses has therefore been changed, and high streets are being cleaned by a high-pressure jet wash.
Councillor Karen Shore, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Environment, Highways and Strategic Transport, said: "We are expecting a busy few weeks leading up to Christmas, we appreciate how tough it's been for our high streets and understandably some shoppers can be nervous returning to shops.
"Please come back to our shops and leave yourself more time, as there may be queues. Be careful by keeping two metres apart, remembering to wear face coverings and washing your hands regularly. There will be a warm welcome waiting."
During this week's Frodsham Town Council meeting, ward councillor, Lynn Riley, also suggested the introduction of covers or canopies on Frodsham's Main Street, which would keep shoppers dry as they queue to get into shops.
