The successful local litter picking group, the Frodsham Wombles has now acquired a Helsby-based relative.

The Helsby Wombles, which was established this week, has been set up to organise voluntary litter picks in and around the village, so keeping its streets neat and tidy while also promoting local community spirit.

The 'Frombles' have already been emulated in Ellesmere Port, where an ever-growing group of community minded individuals and businesses are on a mission to 'put pride back into the Port'. Maybe there will soon be a Wombles group for every village in the area!
