Cheshire Police Rural Crime Team were 'shocked' to find a large amount of furniture dumped in a brook on Frodsham Marsh over the weekend.

PCSO Graham visited the Marsh following reports of fly-tipping, and reported the incident to Cheshire West and Chester Council.

"It really is a disgrace," he said via the Rural Crime Team Facebook page. "There are at least three sofas there; if anybody recognises one let us know who took it away.

"If someone offers a tenner or 20 quid to remove household waste it's probably going to end up somewhere like this!"

You can report fly-tipping on Cheshire West and Chester Council website.
