Work is now well underway on Helsby High School's new 3G, all-weather pitch, a project which is seven years in the making.

The £1.2 million project is being delivered by the Football Foundation, Cheshire West and Chester Council, Frodsham JFC and the High School itself.

The ground has now been broken at the site, with diggers preparing the land for the pitch to be laid.

The new facility will also feature a changing pavilion including a kitchen/café facility and communal room, which has been constructed off-site before being installed in sections at the school.

You can find out more about the project on the Frodsham JFC website.
